We have successfully organised numerous academic groups in the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal.

Academic adventure tours or treks offer unforgettable lifetime experiences and greatly expand students’ knowledge. Exploring Tourism arranges academic adventure tours for groups of up to 80 students for trekking and tour programs in Nepal.

We design academic adventure tours for summer vacations, winter vacations, and festival holidays based on the duration of the holiday. We not only focus on adventure tours and trekking for academic travellers, trekkers, and students, but also organise research group tours with relevant topics to support their studies.

DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu, where our airport representative will transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, you will have a meeting about your tour at the hotel with our tour manager, who will also introduce you to your tour guide. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Full Day Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu City

After breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel for a full-day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. During the tour, you will visit holy temples, an ancient stupa, and the famous Monkey Temple — all located within Kathmandu city.

PASHUPATINATH:

One of the holiest pilgrimage sites for Hindus worldwide, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located on the banks of the Bagmati River, it hosts daily religious rituals. Sadhus from various countries visit here. The riverbanks contain Ghats used for cremation and ritual baths.

BOUDHANATH

One of the largest Buddhist stupas in South Asia. Various monasteries of different Buddhist sects surround it. Tourists visit for sightseeing and to buy Tibetan handicrafts. Full moon nights feature special religious ceremonies.

SWAYAMBHUNATH

One of the oldest stupas in the Kathmandu Valley, located atop a hill in the west. The site offers panoramic views of Kathmandu. According to legend, the valley was once a lake, drained by Saint Manjushree, making Swayambhunath one of the earliest sacred sites.

Day 03: Full Day City Sightseeing with Nagarkot Viewpoint Tour

After breakfast, you will drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, located about 30 minutes from Kathmandu.

BHAKTAPUR:

Bhaktapur Durbar Square features pagoda and shikhara-style temples surrounding the famed Palace of Fifty-Five Windows. The area showcases ancient Nepali art and architecture, including intricate wood carvings.

THE GOLDEN GATE:

A masterpiece of art and architecture, adorned with images of Goddess Kali, Garuda, and heavenly nymphs. It serves as the entrance to the palace courtyard.

THE PALACE OF FIFTY-FIVE WINDOWS:

Built in 1427 AD, this palace is known for its exquisite wooden windows and architectural beauty.

NAGARKOT:

Located 35 km east of Kathmandu, Nagarkot is renowned for its sunrise views and stunning Himalayan panoramas (weather permitting).

Day 04: After Breakfast, Continue the Tour to Pokhara

After breakfast in Nagarkot, you will drive to Pokhara, located 235 km away. The drive offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, and more. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 05: Excursion Around Pokhara Valley – Pokhara Sightseeing

Breakfast followed by sightseeing in Pokhara Valley, including Mahendra Cave, Davis Falls, and Mahendra Bridge. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 06: Relax in Pokhara

Breakfast and a free day in Pokhara. You may enjoy boating on Phewa Lake or relax with your own activities. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 07: After Breakfast, Drive to Chitwan:

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for rich wildlife, including the one-horned rhinoceros and Bengal tiger.

On arrival, enjoy lunch. Later, begin jungle activities such as a village tour, Tharu cultural dance, and a slide show presentation. Dinner included.

CHITWAN:

The lush valley at the foothills of the Churia Range houses Nepal’s first national park, famed for its diverse flora and fauna.

Day 08: Full Day Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park

After an early breakfast, continue jungle activities including canoe rides, bird watching, and jungle walks. Lunch at 1:00 PM.

In the afternoon, enjoy an Elephant Safari — a chance to see deer, rhinos, wild boars, monkeys, leopards, sloth bears, and possibly the Royal Bengal Tiger. Evening features a Tharu cultural dance or slide show. Dinner included.

Day 09: Chitwan Drive Back to Kathmandu:

After breakfast, visit the Government Elephant Breeding Centre, then drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Relax in Kathmandu Hotel:

Breakfast and a free day for shopping or optional activities.

(Optional: Mountain flight to see Mt. Everest and several other Himalayan peaks.)

Day 11: Final Departure:

After breakfast, enjoy some free time. Later, our airport representative will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey.
