Sirubari Village Tour

Sirubari is an unspoiled Gurung village in the Syangja district, southwest of Pokhara. It is located at the height of 1700 meters from the sea level, facing towards the south. Sirubari introduces the visitors to the typical Nepalese village, home-made Nepali foods, lifestyle, and culture. The real attraction of the town has always been the culture and the people. The villagers entertain visitors with traditional Gurung and Nepali dances and songs.

The climate is ideal at all times of the year with no snow ever falling in the village itself. However, the ideal time to visit is between September and June. The houses are mostly built from the local materials and are well-constructed and comfortable. Foot trails through the village are all stone-paved. Sirubari is the first model village designed to experience village-based tourism in Nepal. In 2001, Sirubari was awarded with PATA Gold Award for its efforts to preserve the culture and heritage of the Nepalese lifestyle.

OUTLINE ITINERARY

Day 01: Kathmandu to Pokhara ( 6 hrs drive/30min flight)

Day 02: Pokhara to Sirubari dinner with homestay family and overnight stay.

Day 03: Full day sightseeing of Sirubari and overnight at village homestay.

Day 04: Depart from Sirubari to Kathmandu via Pokhara.

DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 01: Kathmandu to Pokhara by Bus/Car/Air (6 hrs drive/30 min flight):

Our expert tour guide with a luxurious vehicle assists you at your hotel and drives you to Pokhara along with Prithivi Highway. Rest of my leisure time sightseeing around Pokhara and overnight at a hotel on a BB basis.

Day 02: Pokhara to Sirubari:

After breakfast drive from Pokhara to Sirubari via Badhkhola, Darau. Lunch and welcome ceremony at Sirubari, and blessing by village lama (priest). Interact with homestay families. Dinner with homestay families and overnight stay.

Day 03: Full-Day Sightseeing of Sirubari:

Early morning wake-up call and proceed to see the sunrise. After viewing sunrise return back to home for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, again visit to village, funeral place, and school and back home. Dinner with the family of homestay and attend evening cultural program at Gumba. Overnight at village homestay.

Day 04: Return back from Sirubari to Kathnmandu via Pokhara:

After breakfast, attend the farewell program at Gumba and depart for Pokhara via Karkinetta, Seti Dobhan, and Naudanda.Lunch en route. Afternoon flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel.
