Pokhara Valley Tour offers you a mixed taste of nature, culture, and adventure. Pokhara Valley is situated 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu at an elevation of 3,000 ft. Pokhara is a natural treasure of Nepal, and the Pokhara Tour is one of the most popular tour packages in the country.
The Pokhara Valley Tour provides a rare combination of long ranges of snowcapped peaks, crystal-clear lakes, the panoramic Annapurna Himal, and a warm climate that remains pleasant throughout the year.
Monsoon rains are heaviest from June to August, while the remaining months are relatively dry. The Pokhara Valley Tour in Nepal can even be enjoyed during the monsoon season.
Pokhara Valley Tour is one of the richest tours in Nepal because it includes beautiful attractions such as Phewa Tal (Lake), Seti River, Mahendra Cave, KI-Singh Bridge, Bindyabasini Temple, the museum, Davis Fall, and several Buddhist temples, all of which are major highlights of the trip. Besides these, the uninterrupted mountain views surrounding the valley keep your mind refreshed throughout your Pokhara Valley Tour in Nepal.
During the Pokhara Valley Tour, we will take you to Sarangkot Viewpoint and for a short hike around it, as well as visits to caves, lakes, temples, monasteries, markets, and Tibetan villages. Pokhara is accessible by air and road from Kathmandu and the Indian border of Sunauli. Pokhara Valley Tour offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, Manaslu, the five peaks of Annapurna, and many others.
It is one of the few places in the world where you can enjoy such a dramatic mountain panorama in a sub-tropical setting. The nearest snowcapped mountain, Fishtail, is less than 30 kilometers from Pokhara. We also offer fishing, boating, and swimming on the various lakes during the Pokhara Valley Tour in Nepal.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and Transfer to the Hotel
Our airport representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 02: Fly or Drive to Pokhara, Boat on Phewa Tal, and Visit Barahi Temple
A flight takes about 40 minutes, while the drive takes about 5–6 hours. After your belongings are stored at Hotel Varahi, we will take you to Phewa Lake for boating and to visit the temple in the middle of the lake. Tal means “lake” in Nepali. Phewa Tal is the largest lake in the valley, measuring 1.5 km by 4 km. The lake is considered an ornament of Pokhara Valley and becomes exceptionally beautiful when tourists see the reflection of Mt. Fishtail on its surface.
The lake is ideal for boating, birdwatching, and photographing scenic mountains. The excellent surroundings and the reflections of the Annapurna Mountains create an unforgettable experience. Annapurna rises directly from the valley floor and seems close enough to touch.
Barahi Temple, built in the middle of Phewa Lake, is dedicated to the goddess Ajima — the grandmother and the universal protector in the boar manifestation of Goddess Shakti. She is often worshipped with animal sacrifices.
Legend says: One fateful night, God visited a village in Pokhara disguised as a traveler seeking shelter. Only a poor couple offered him a place to stay and shared the only food they had. The next morning, the entire village was found submerged underwater—except the hut of the old couple. In honor of their kindness, the Temple of Tal Barahi was built in the middle of the lake.
Day 03: Sarangkot, World Peace Pagoda, Old Bazaar, Bindyabasini Temple, and Davis Fall
Sarangkot, situated at 1,500 meters, was once the fort of the Kaski Kings. It is best visited early in the morning for a world-class sunrise view. Starting from Dhaulagiri on the far left, the panorama includes Annapurna South, Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Machhapuchhare, and Lamjung Himal.
World Peace Pagoda is a massive Buddhist stupa located on top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake. Besides being a remarkable sight, it offers outstanding views of the lake and Pokhara city.
Davis Fall, locally known as Patale Chango, is an extraordinary waterfall located about 2 km southwest of Pokhara Airport on the highway to Tansen. The legend goes: In July 1961, a Swiss couple was swimming in the Pardi Khola stream above the fall. A sudden flood from the Fewa Dam swept away Mrs. Davis, who vanished into an underground passage beneath the waterfall. Since then, the waterfall has been known as Davis Fall.
Old Bazaar and Bindyabasini Temple: Pokhara’s traditional bazaar is vibrant, with ethnically diverse traders. Newari craftsmanship is reflected in its temples and windows. Bindyabasini Temple is the spiritual center of the bazaar and is dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati, a manifestation of Shakti.
Animal sacrifices are made on Tuesdays and Saturdays, as worshippers believe the goddess grants their wishes. Legend says the stone image of the goddess was being carried from Bindhyachal in India to a kingdom north of Annapurna, but when the carriers rested in Pokhara, the image could not be lifted again—indicating that the goddess chose Pokhara as her home.
Day 04: Gupteswor Guffa, Mahendra Guffa, and Tibetan Villages
Gupteswor Guffa (Cave) is a sacred cave located 2 km from Pokhara Airport on the Siddhartha Highway. The entrance lies across from Davis Falls, and the cave stretches nearly 3 km. Some areas are large hall-like chambers, while others require crawling. A natural Shiva Lingam inside the cave is preserved in its original form, making it a significant Hindu pilgrimage site.
Mahendra Guffa is another fascinating natural cave across the Seti River near Batulichaur Village, north of Pokhara. It contains beautiful stalactite formations and is worth exploring.
Tibetan Villages: Two Tibetan settlements lie near Pokhara — Tashiling in the south near Patale Chhango, and Tashi Palkhel to the north. Tibetan residents earn their livelihood by producing and selling woolen carpets and handicrafts.
