Kathmandu Valley World Heritage Site Tour offers you seven incredible UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Sightseeing around the historical highlights such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and others is truly worthwhile for a short visit to Nepal. Out of ten UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal, seven cultural heritage sites lie within the Kathmandu Valley, and you can explore them all in a single, memorable tour.

Your Kathmandu Valley World Heritage Tour begins from your hotel, accompanied by our professional tour guide. The guide will lead you first to Kathmandu Durbar Square, located near Thamel. Here, you will explore several historical and spiritual attractions, including the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, the House of the Living Goddess “Kumari,” and the Kasthamandap Temple, which is said to have been built from a single tree in the 16th century.

You will also see the Big Bell, Big Drums, intricate erotic carvings on ancient temples, and the old royal palace. Next, you will visit Swayambhunath, situated on a hilltop and known as the “Monkey Temple,” one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world.

Then you will explore Boudhanath, one of Nepal’s largest and most iconic stupas, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your day continues with a visit to Pashupatinath, the sacred Hindu temple complex where Sadhus reside, pilgrims bathe, and funeral rites are performed along the banks of the holy Bagmati River.

You will also enjoy sightseeing at the beautiful Patan Durbar Square. Here, the remarkable Krishna Temple, built entirely of stone with intricate craftsmanship, stands out as a masterpiece. The Patan King’s palace, the Golden Temple, and numerous other historical monuments showcase the valley’s rich heritage. Patan is especially famous for its woodcarving, metalwork, temples, and monasteries. During this day, you can also visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp located near the zoo.

The next day, your tour continues to Bhaktapur, one of the most remarkable and well-preserved cities in the Kathmandu Valley. Often called a "Living Museum," Bhaktapur is an ancient brick-paved city filled with heritage sites such as the old royal palace, the magnificent Nyatapola Temple, and the Dattatreya Temple. The exquisite architecture and traditional Newari culture offer a vivid picture of medieval Nepal.

After exploring Bhaktapur, you will head to Nagarkot, famous for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset views. On a clear day, you can see the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest (8,848m), along with many other snow-capped Himalayan mountains. From your hotel room, you can enjoy splendid scenery, including the Manaslu and Annapurna ranges to the west when the weather is favourable.

Nagarkot is one of the most popular viewpoints in Nepal. It offers panoramic vistas of the Langtang Himalayan Range, Mt. Gaurishankar, Mt. Dorje Lakpa, Mt. Ganesh Himal, and the Rolwaling Range. The area is also surrounded by terraced farms, rivers, lush hills, and charming villages that reflect the traditional hospitality and ancient culture of Nepal. After a late breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu to visit the Changunarayan Temple.
