Package Itinerary

Kathmandu Chitwan Pokhara Tour Package offers you the chance to visit the three major Durbar Squares of the Kathmandu Valley: Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Durbar in Nepali means "Palace." Around the central Durbar Square in each of these places are the old royal palaces. At Kathmandu Durbar Square (Hanuman Dhoka), you can see numerous pagodas and Indian-style temples (Shikhara), the House of Kumari (the Living Goddess), the Kasthamandap (the wooden house from which the name Kathmandu originates), along with many other attractions found in the valley. You will also visit the Swayambhunath Monkey Temple.

According to Buddhist literature, Swayambhu is self-originated, and kings and priests later preserved it by building a temple around it.

Bhaktapur city, located just 13 kilometres east of Kathmandu, means “City of Devotees.” It is also a centre for pottery and traditional masks. Major sightseeing highlights include Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, the Palace of 55 Windows, Nyatapola Temple, Bhairavnath Temple, Dattatreya Temple, and Pujarimath.

This package includes jungle safari activities with a cultural program in Chitwan National Park, located in the southern lowlands (the Terai) of Nepal. Chitwan—meaning “heart of the jungle”—is one of Asia’s finest wildlife reserves.

It is home to more than 700 species of birds and over 70 species of wild animals, including the endangered Royal Bengal Tiger, elephants, one-horned rhinos, sloth bears, and gharial crocodiles.

The local inhabitants belong to the Tharu tribe, and there are opportunities to visit Tharu villages and enjoy cultural performances.

Pokhara is another major highlight of the Kathmandu Chitwan Pokhara Tour Package and is the most popular tourist destination in Nepal after Kathmandu. Enclosed by the Annapurna Range of the Himalayas (in a horseshoe shape), Pokhara lies at an elevation of 800m with clean, fresh air and an ideal subtropical climate. Most travellers stay in the scenic Lakeside district along the shores of Fewa Lake—Nepal’s second-largest lake.

Lakeside is full of hotels, shops, and restaurants. The main street runs parallel to the lakeshore and has the feel of a relaxed border town.

The kings lived in royal palaces now known as Durbar Squares. Kumari is a revered virgin goddess worshipped by locals, a tradition begun by King Jaya Pratap Malla.
