In the Best of Nepal Tour, we offer activities such as trekking, touring, jungle safari, and white-water rafting in Nepal. In other words, this is an all-in-one program. Nepal is naturally well known for trekking, expeditions, peak climbing, and sightseeing. In the Best of Nepal Tour, we also include Kathmandu Valley sightseeing.

In Kathmandu Valley alone, many UNESCO-listed sites are fascinating to visit. All of the places we explore hold historical, religious, cultural, and architectural value.

Our well-experienced tour guide will explain everything about the sites you visit in Nepal. Nagarkot is another destination—an amazing place for sunset and sunrise views and a well-known location for viewing different Himalayan ranges.

Normally, we arrive in Nagarkot around 4–5 PM after the sightseeing tour in Bhaktapur Durbar Square for a sunset view. We stay overnight at one of the best hotels available on a twin-bed, breakfast, and dinner basis. From Nagarkot, after the sunrise view and breakfast, we return to Kathmandu for the remaining sightseeing.

Chitwan:

This is our destination for 2 nights and 3 days of jungle safari activities inside Chitwan National Park. Chitwan is one of the best national parks in Nepal, where rare wildlife species can be found. On the day we travel to Chitwan, we can enjoy a half-day rafting trip on the Trishuli River, which is considered one of the most exciting rivers in Nepal for rafting adventures. On the same day, we continue to Chitwan.

Lumbini:

The birthplace of Lord Buddha is not only a holy place for Nepali people but also for Buddhists around the world, as well as for people of other religions. Lumbini is an important attraction in Nepal, and the site is being developed under a Japanese master plan to make it even better in the coming years. After visiting or sightseeing in this peaceful and sacred location, we drive to Pokhara.

Pokhara:

A tour in Pokhara and its surroundings offers tremendous pleasure and a feeling of being very close to mountains, lakes, and natural beauty. We also offer a short trekking experience to Birethanti, Ghorepani, Poon Hill, Ghandruk, and back to Birethanti in the Annapurna region. After sightseeing around Pokhara—the lake and mountain city—and completing the short trek in the Annapurna region, we return to Kathmandu for the final departure.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu Airport (1350 m)

After completing airport formalities, our representative will transfer you to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Full-day Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu Valley

After breakfast, we start the tour with our private vehicle and guide. First, we visit the Bouddhanath Stupa and spend around 2 hours learning about its historical and cultural value.

Then we drive to Pashupatinath Temple—the central shrine for Hindus around the world. Here, you may see holy men (sadhus), cremation rituals, monkeys, and many devotees. We spend about 2 hours.

After lunch, we visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, rich in history, culture, and architecture. We return to the hotel afterwards. This is a B&B plan day. Dinner is on your own.

Day 03: Full-day Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu Valley

After breakfast, we visit Swayambhunath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Monkey Temple. We spend about 2–3 hours exploring the area.

Then we drive to the National Museum at Chhauni to see various historical artefacts of Nepal.

After lunch, we drive to Patan Durbar Square—a historical and culturally rich area with many temples. After exploring, we return to the hotel. Another B&B plan day. You are free for lunch and dinner.

Day 04: Full-day Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu & Drive to Nagarkot

After breakfast, we drive to Bhaktapur—a Newari city with deep historical, cultural, and architectural significance. We explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square and nearby temples while observing the lifestyle of Bhaktapur’s residents.

Then we visit Changu Narayan Temple, one of the most important sights in Bhaktapur. After lunch, we drive to Nagarkot, famous for sunrise and sunset views. Early in the evening, we enjoy the sunset and then proceed to the hotel.

Day 05: Sunrise View in Nagarkot, Short Hiking & Drive Back to Kathmandu

We wake up early for the sunrise viewpoint, spending about 1.5 hours there before returning to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we take a short hike to a viewpoint to see various Himalayan ranges. After lunch, we drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 06: Kathmandu Drive to Rafting Point, 2–3 Hours Rafting & Drive to Chitwan National Park

After breakfast, we drive to the Trishuli River rafting starting point. After a thrilling 3-hour rafting session, we have lunch by the riverside and continue driving to Chitwan. In the evening, we enjoy a Tharu cultural dance show. Overnight at the resort.

Day 07: Full-day Jungle Activities

After breakfast, we enjoy a full day of safari activities in Chitwan National Park. If lucky, you may see rhinoceroses, Royal Bengal tigers, leopards, monkeys, deer, and various reptiles. Keep your camera ready, preferably with a telephoto lens. Overnight stay in Chitwan.

Day 08: Chitwan Drive to Pokhara

We wake up early and have breakfast either at the resort or on the way. We arrive in Pokhara between 12–1 PM and check into the hotel. The remaining time can be spent boating on Phewa Lake.

Day 09: Pokhara Drive to Nayapul (45 minutes) & Trek to Ulleri (2073 m)

After breakfast, we drive to Nayapul—either by private vehicle or local bus. We start trekking along the river, cross the suspension bridge over the Modi River, and walk through stone-paved trails. We continue uphill to Ulleri—a large Magar village with a long history of men serving in the British Gurkha Regiment.

Day 10: Ulleri Trek to Ghorepani (2853 m)

After breakfast, we trek steeply uphill to Banthanti for lunch. The trail continues through rhododendron, magnolia, and oak forests until reaching Ghorepani. Views of Mt. Fishtail may be seen along the way.

Day 11: Ghorepani Trek to Tadapani (2600 m)

We wake up at 4:30 AM and hike to Poon Hill (3100 m) for spectacular mountain views.

After exploring, we return to Ghorepani for breakfast.

Then we descend through dense rhododendron and oak forests, stopping for lunch at Banthanti.

The trail then climbs slightly before descending and ascending again to Tadapani, where beautiful views of snow-capped mountains await.

Day 12: Tadapani Trek to Ghandruk (1955 m)

Today is a short trekking day.

We descend through rhododendron and orchid forests, crossing small streams where the trail may be slippery.
We reach Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village with excellent views of Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli.

We visit the ACAP office, the Gurung Museum, and the local rug-weaving centre.

Day 13: Ghandruk Trek to Nayapul & Drive Back to Pokhara

We descend past terraced fields to Syauli Bazaar, then follow the Modi River to Nayapul. After lunch in Birethanti, we walk briefly to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara. Free time for boating, visiting Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, temples, or shopping. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 14: Pokhara Drive Back to Kathmandu (6–7 hrs)

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. You are free for shopping, rest, and last-minute souvenirs.
Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 15: Final Departure

After breakfast, you may continue your travels or depart for the international airport for your flight home.
