Bordering Kaski on the east, Parbat on the west and Syangja on the south, Panchase is considered as the highest hill of this region. Popularly known as Pancha Dham, the hill has also gained its popularity as a religious site. Hindu Pilgrimages visit Panchase in many occasions to worship god. To preserve its cultural richness and promote tourism, Panchase Development Committee has been formed recently. The rare vegetation like medicinal plants, lush green forests and wildlife deserve mention worthy. The top of Panchase offers a panoramic view of Himalayas and green valleys and terraces of midhill Nepal. It is comfortable and interesting to go to Panchase. The unique village settlement of the area is another attraction for the visitors.
This non-technical trek is suitable for the people of different walks of life. Simply, if you are fairly fit and have a little sense of adventure, no difficulties will be encountered in this trek. As the trek is designed for camping arrangement, everything is handled by our team of staff. One can enjoy closer mountain views of Annapurna Himal, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri Himal, Fishtail, Himchuli and total wilderness experience. Interacting with the local ethnical groups and experiencing untouched biodiversity is another notable attraction of this trek. DETAIL ITINERARY:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1320m):
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.):
We take early drive/flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.). One can view green hills, beautiful valleys and some mountain views on the way. Pokhara is regarded as tourists’ paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples, etc. One can have pleasure to observe views of Phewa Taal (lake), Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
Day 03: Pokhara to Bumdi (1525m.):
Today, we trek from Pokhara to Bumdi (1525m.). Our trek to Panchase commences from the lakeside town of Pokhara. The area around Panchase is well-known for bird watching and wildlife. After walking about 4-5 hrs, we reach Bumdi and take overnight rest at Bumdi. Bumdi is situated near Ghandruk, the largest Gurung village in the region. The village provides panoramic views of the mountains- Macchapucchare (Fishtail) Annapurna South and Himchuli.
Day 04: Bumdi to Bhanjyang (2000m.):
It is our turn to trek from Bumdi to Bhanjyang (2000m.). It takes about six hours to reach Bhanjyang from Bumdi. On the way one can enjoy the typical Gurung culture and rich bio diversity.
Day 05: Bhanjyang to Tilahar (1020m.):
Trek from Bhanjyang to Tilahar (1020m.) via Panchase (2509m.). Trekking in this region also offers panoramic view of majestic mountains and scenic natural beauty. Overnight at Tilahar.
Day 06: Tilahar to Dobate (2655m.):
When the lunch is served in the camp, we commence our trek from Tilahar to Dobate (2655m.). It takes about six hours to reach our today’s destination. Overnight in the camp at Dobate.
Day 07: Dobate to Jaljale (2975m.):
We start our trek from Dobate to Jaljale (2975m.). On the way, one can enjoy rich bio-diversity, wild-life and unique settlement. The region is also rich its culture. Overnight rest in the camp at Jaljale.
Day 08: Jaljale to Ghorepani (2856m.):
Trek from Jaljale to Ghorepani (2856m.) via Poon Hill. It takes about five and half hours to reach the destination on normal walk. Overnight at Ghorepani.
Day 09: Ghorepani to Punhill (3180m.) to Hille (1475m.):
Trek from Ghorepani to Punhill (3180m.) to Hille (1475m.). Punhill provides sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks. After breakfast, we follow gradual descent path through rhododendron and oak forests up to Banthanti. The trail then descends to Ulleri (1960m.), a big Gurung village from where we enjoy scenic view of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli. After a short trek of about 15 minutes from Tirkhedhunga, we approach Hille.
Day 10: Hille to Nayapul (1050m.) to Pokhara:
We trek from Hille to Nayapul (1050m.) via Birethanti and drive from Nayapul to Pokhara which takes about one and half hours. Today, our trek gradually descends following Bhurung Khola (Bhurung Stream) all the way to Birethanti. Along the trail, one can have opportunity to penetrate small villages, view magnificent waterfalls and walk through the dense forests.
Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu:
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus. After a normal drive of seven hours, we reach Kathmandu. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, we head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar where the Nepal's first Cable Car is operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. One can also fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu
