Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is in itself an exciting and memorable experience as an exotic panoramic view of snow-capped Himalayan peaks sprawls before you. We meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel.

Gokarna Forest Resort, the only golf resort of Nepal is located just about a few minutes drive from the airport, in a quite suburb in Kathmandu. The resort is set amidst the lush greenery of Gokarna Forest, the traditional hunting ground of Nepalese royalty. Tucked away in a quite corner of the resort is ‘The Hunter's Lodge’, which housed the Shikaris (hunting party) that accompanied Royal Family members during their hunting trips in Gokarna Forest. The building is over a hundred and twenty years old. It has been carefully restored and now houses a quaint restaurant and bar. Apart from world class accommodation, the resort also features a Spa and an international standard Golf Course.

Day 02 : Fly to Lukla (2800m) & Trek to Phakding/Overnight at Khangri Resort

The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes 45 minutes. Landing at Lukla airport is quite an exciting experience. This airport was built by Sir Edmund Hillary. Lukla, a Sherpa village, is usually filled with tourists and trekkers from world over, on their way to Mt. Everest. After meeting our guide, we head up the Dudh Koshi Valley on a well-marked trail to Phakding. Phakding village is the first overnight staying station for the trekkers in this region. At the centre of the village stands Rimijung Monastery established by a Sherpa Lama "Khempo Dorje" in the 16th century. We stay overnight at Yeti Mountain Home in Phakding. The resort has 20 well-furnished comfort rooms with an attached bath and hot-cold running water serves as the perfect location to stay overnight at an altitude of 2601m.

Day 03: Trek to Namche / Overnight at Yeti Mountain Home:

From Phakding, we cross and re-cross the river on high suspension bridges. Beyond Monjo is the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park which was set-up in order to protect and preserve the fragile mountain environment. We then take a steep hike to Namche. If the weather is clear, we get the first glimpse of Mt Everest. Namche is the main trading village in the Khumbu and has a busy Saturday market - a meeting place for the Hindu traders from the lowlands and the Tibetan yak caravans that have crossed the glaciated Nangpa La. We stay overnight at the luxurious Yeti Mountain Home in Namche.

Day 04: Trek to Shyangboche - Heli tour to Kala Patthar - Fly to Kongde Resort - Return Kathmandu:

We rise early and trek to Shyangboche, a Sherpa hamlet situated right above Namche and the site of the highest skydiving event in the world, Everest Skydive(www.everest-skydive.com). After enjoying the panoramic Himalayan vista we board the waiting Fishtail Air helicopter and fly towards Kala Patthar. The flight to Kala Patthar (17192 ft/5242m) provides a panoramic vision of the mountains and the mesmerizing Gokyo Lakes. From Kala Patthar (17192 ft/5242m) we get the closest view of Mount Everest and its surrounding peaks. The Kala Patthar plateau is also a historic site as the ‘World’s Highest Cabinet Meeting’ was organized by the Nepalese Government over here on 4th December 2009.

After taking in the wonderful sights and capturing the scenes on our camera, we board the waiting chopper and fly towards Kongde where the world’s highest luxury resort Yeti Mountain Home, Kongde is located.
