Krishnarpan

To spend an evening at Krishnarpan, the Nepali speciality restaurant at Dwarika’s, is to take a culinary journey through the fascinating terrains and cuisines of Nepal. Serving the finest Nepali of Nepali flavours, Krishnarpan is a slow dining experience reminiscent of ancient customary feasts.

Meals range from six to twenty two courses and are prepared using the freshest vegetables straight from the Dwarika's own farm. With each course offered on traditional brass and earthen ware, and served by charming hostesses representing different ethnic communities, Krishnarpan is an exquisite and authentic Nepali experience to savour

Mako’s

The Japanese restaurant at Dwarika’s takes its name from its host, Mako-san. A keen interest in Buddhism first brought her to Nepal and since then, her heart has remained in the country. Thirty years after her first journey, Mako-san fulfilled her dream of living in Nepal by joining the Dwarika’s Kathmandu and adding her unique style of Japanese cuisine to the hotel’s experience.

Mako’s is an intimate Japanese fine dining experience. Serving lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers traditional Japanese food served within a warm and stylish setting. The décor takes its inspiration from Mako-san’s spirituality and adopts a Zen-like minimalism that is authentically Japanese. Combined with 14th century Nepali architecture, the restaurant offers a unique setting that highlights the similitude between two civilisations.

The food at Mako’s follows a seasonal menu and offers fresh vegetables grown at the Dwarika’s own farm, using the most natural agricultural methods. With limited seating and an exquisite menu, prior reservations are recommended. While you are there, don’t miss out on Mako’s special Tempuras that use her own signature batter or the fresh Tofu made from soybeans from the Dwarika’s farm. Before you leave, Mako’s organic green tea ice cream is a truly special treat.

It is the spot to meet, drink and converse. The Fusion celebrates Friday evenings with a live band and a special Nepali barbeque.
